Over time the words Tai Chi have come to mean many different things to different people. It is known as:
- An exercise system for self-healing, health and vitality
- An effective method of personal growth and development
- Aid to meditation
- A potent martial art
Whereas many schools focus on a particular aspect, limited by knowledge or experience, the traditional Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan as taught by JDIATCC can be all of the above. The traditional training exercises combined with our own research on how to present them provides the ideal environment for you to stengthen yourself from the inside out.
Our emphasis on clearly demonstrating the core concepts and principles of traditional Tai Chi as a means to development and use your own internal energy (Chi), links together the myriad benefits of Tai Chi: health, meditation, self-healing, self-defence, fitness and so on. It is this holistic approach to mind and body that attracts so many to JDIATCC.
From your first lesson the process of freeing your movements begins, teaching you how to maximise your health and vitality in readiness for the more dynamic explorations into energy that occur at intermediate and advanced levels.
The founder, Master John Ding, is a disciple of Yang style Tai Chi through Grandmaster Ip Tai Tak. This means that JDIATCC has access to all aspects of the authentic, traditional Yang style training syllabus.
